Normally I am not a jealous person at all. We are blessed with a wonderful home, wonderful friends, a fabulous neighborhood and of course, two happy and healthy children. Today I had a moment of weakness. This happens when you see or experience things that are unexpected. At least that is how it happens for me. I have to think that most people get jealous, but still I wish that I had not felt that twinge. We went to a friend’s country club to go to the pool with the kids. We often have friends to our pool and go to other people’s pools. In Charlotte a lot of people join swim clubs in or near their neighborhood. We are actually additionally lucky to be able to belong to a world class tennis club that has a great pool and sponsors major tournaments and has fabulous social events. So it’s not like I have not been to a country club before. I know they are nice and I thought maybe in the future we would consider it if Ross had time to golf or if we lived really close or some pot of money dropped in our laps and that is the only thing we could think to spend it on. In short, it is not for us in the near future.
Our pool is awesome and our family loves it. I think it is fun and it has a baby pool (a must) and a snack bar and great swim lessons and a swim team. This is how it looks. Beautiful right?

Now check this out.

You might be able to see how the little green monster just poked his little head right in. Holy crap it felt like we were on a full vacation, which we NEED! Let’s ignore the whole gorgeous setup and giant space. They have a giant baby pool that you simply walk down a hill into and has sprinklers around the edge. Even the little ones can just sit in it. Miles was in heaven. It then gets slowly deeper so the toddlers can experiment and feel like they are in the big pool but still be able to walk or hop back into total shallow safety. The very other end of the shallow pool houses the slides. Sophia’s jaw dropped when she saw the slide you see in the bottom corner of this photo. It was too big for her but she might talk about it for a year. She thought the whole pool was “sooooo pretty”. They have child sized lounge chairs and tables so Sophia and Miles had lunch sitting at their own little tables. The whole think is bran spankin’ new and there is not one of those monster slides…there are two. WOW!
HMMM…maybe I will use a random pot of money to get a piece of this if one comes to me…naah – I’m over it. Any huge pot of money and we are travelling around the world. Yes, I am jealous if you are doing that with your family. Extremely jealous. I might hope the monster eats you up and gives me your itinerary
. Oops – I am letting it go.
Bon Voyage Little Green Monster. I love my life!
What has made you jealous? Come on put it out there. It’s okay.

I am the Ringmaster of this circus. I have 3 small children who don't know what that means so I just say "Boss" and they get that. I am a mom who loves to write, build things, make things and love on my kids and my hubs. I am also in the midst of a love affair with social media. Always busy, usually laughing and never without words. Thus, Mommy Words.

I can understand the jealousy thing. That place looks AMAZING. I don’t think we have country clubs here in Australia. Or maybe we do and I don’t move in the right circles?
I usually get jealous over gardens – I just don’t have the desire or ability to create and maintain a beautiful garden. I wish I had a nice one – but it has to miraculously look after itself. I hate weeding. And pruning. And some flowers make me sneeze. But I like looking out there and seeing it all!
Oops, forgot to say, I have given you an award. Go here to collect it http://annettepiperjewellery.blogspot.com/2009/07/winter-mistaken-for-spring-but-not-for.html
