Ambien or Insanity

AmbienBlogging

I will be getting nothing done tonight except rest.  My computer will be nowhere near me to avoid possible ridiculous entries and comments that should never be made.  I mean if I talk about boobs and poop and penis while I am not on any meds – things could get pretty f*$#ing crazy if I open my big mouth on drugs!

{P.S. I could not find any credit to give for the above cartoon.  If it is yours please let me know!}

I have had a few comments recently commending me and wondering how I get so much done while I am struggling to be really happy lately and dealing with quite a bit of pain.  Well girls it’s called Nesting coupled with Insomnia.  I always say I wish I had 24 hours in a day but in reality – it can’t last forever!

As I have mentioned, I have Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) in a bad way in my last trimester.  I do not sleep more than an hour or two most nights and I can’t even relax and blog when it is really late - I have to be moving around.  This is why I will be posting in the near future on how to organize your whole house and life in one week.  Seriously, I am now organizing junk drawers in the house.  It took one FULL week of almost no sleep to get to this point

Well, turns out this little sleep is really bad.  It is worse this time than in my previous pregnancies.  We are not talking about the crabby sleep deprived state of most pregnant women and moms in general here.  My OB told me in order to avoid the possible paranoia and pyschosis that can come from not sleeping, I should take something 1 – 2 times per week to make sure that I sleep.  We are starting with Ambien.  I took Ambien towards the end of my last pregnancies in order to gain some sleep and strength for labor and delivery.  This time – she is worried I will go bat shit crazy if it goes for 12 weeks so I am starting tonight.  Yippee!

Hubby is home so I do not have to worry about the kids.  I just have to take that little pill and hit my pillow.

Sweet Dreams!  See you tomorrow!

You definitely need your rest. I’m glad to hear you’re doctor is nipping this in the bud sooner than later.

Hope you have many peaceful nights filled with sleep.
