Well hello there. I want to start by saying I can’t believe I am going to meet you in just a few days – I heard you and Daddy talking and I think you sound just wonderful. I am so super flattered that you are so excited to meet little ol’ me. I know I won’t be able to say it for a long time, but I love you. I am sure I am going to adore being hugged and kissed and rocked and all that great baby stuff. It also sounds like I am going to have some great toys and swings and stuff and I think that sounds just fantastic! I am one lucky little girl. I don’t want to seem rude – I just have a few concerns based on a couple of conversations I overheard.
Basically, my siblings – those lunatic lovely children of yours who insist on smooshing me all the time – have got me a little scared. They better be more careful when I am out. I could really get hurt you know. I am only a little over 6 pounds and they are like HUGE giants. Why do you keep telling them that they need to be gentle – are they as rough as all that? I heard you tell Miles that “we don’t throw babies on the floor!” Who did he throw on the floor? And did Sophia really say he eats babies? Do you think he got your message? I have also heard that Sophia lays down on top of people a lot and that Miles likes to push and sometimes even bite. Can’t you see why I am a little nervous? I just want to air my concerns. I trust that you, as my mommy, will know how to handle these hooligans so that I live to see my first birthday. I have heard that cake rocks and I would like the chance to taste it.
In addition to the potential violence, I am going to need a lot of sleep and I have been paying attention lately – those kids are loud! I mean, I know I am going to have some lungs on me too and really, I am SO excited to meet Sophia and Miles I just know I need my sleep to be as cute and well behaved as possible and so I just want to make sure they don’t ruin it for me. It seems like they are awake ALL the time. Don’t they take naps? It’s not my call since I am just a fetus but I just think naps sound like a lovey idea.
I am only saying all this becuase I want to make sure I am your best baby EVER! And you know, I don’t do my best work when I am tired and scared. I feel like you deserve it – me being a really goood baby - since I haven’t moved my lazy tush one inch since I turned myself upside down and stayed that way. I know it makes you nervous and that you have been hoping and praying that I am happy and healthy every single day. And I know you said I am the last baby so I want to be super awesome for you!
Anyway, I am sure everything will be great it is just a little cold feet – you know – last minute jitters. I am going to be in your arms in no time!
Now I am going to close my eyes again and give you a chance to talk to Daddy. Maybe you could do me a solid and decide on my real name….I hate to be picky – but I am sick of the Frankie the Fetus jokes and I think Sophie is right and Frankie is a boy name and I want a pretty name like her.
Nightie Night Mom.

Note to Our Darling little girl: You will NOT be called Frankie. We only called you that because your upsde down position is known as Frank Breech. Your sister Sophia is making quite sure that your name is very girly, and you will be the first to know, my dear heart.
Love, Mom.

Laura unfortunately for my fam my twitter and bloggy friends will probably be the second to know everything – after me and Ross – it’s all you guys! It’s amazing what awesome friends you guys are and how much support I have gotten from all of you! Thank you so much!
You know, Frankie might stick! When I was pregnant with my daughter ( our one and only) we started calling her Georgie before we knew she was a girl. 16 years later and a beautiful girlie name on the birth certificate and she is still Georgie!

Hopefully she will like it. I thought maybe I should be all teary and heartfelt and pour my guts out to my unborn child and then I realized if she can actually hear she must fear for her life every minute. Don’t worry – you will certainly get a mushy post out of me when she is born. I’m a huge fan of bawling uncontrollably at the beauty of newborn babies.
what a lovely post, wishing you a calm and peacful birth. I hope they manage to turn her and you get the birth you want.
Cant wait to her of her arrival.

This is beyond precious and I can’t help but picture her reading this when she’s older. Wonderful!
So sweet! I can’t wait to get a glimpse of this little one! As far as biting goes – in the immortal words of Yo Gabba Gabba, “Don’t. bite. your. friends!” We like to chant that little diity around the house, along with “I like fish! I. like. fish!” Learn it. Live it. LOL.
