I Wanna Eat Like You, Curious George
Miles’ new habit is trying to do things with all four of his his “feet”, like Curious George. He tries to pick things up with his feet. He tries to walk like a monkey on all fours. He says “Ooo Ooo Ooo Ah Ah” while waving his arms. The kicker – he tries to eat with his feet. The messiest monkey business yet? He literally puts his feet into his yogurt and licks his toes. He thinks he makes a very good little monkey. I think he makes a very big mess.

If you are wondering – having a little monkey at home makes for at least an entire extra load of laundry every week, a lot of bumps and bruises and a very tired momma. It’s all worth it though because my little monkey gives me a million laughs, picture perfect moments and priceless memories.

Yay for Miles. Nola is into her feet too. She likes to prop them up while she is eating. And she loves her stuffed monkeys and makes monkey noises too–oo–oo aah–aah ee-ee!!!!

Yes, when they are having that much fun, the mess doesn’t seem to matter as much. I love Curious George and still have a toy of him from when I was little

speaking of laundry, any tips for removing baby food stains? We’re just starting solids and already I’ve had a sweet potato stain set in to a piece of clothing!

Baby food and most baby “stuff” is a real you know what to get out due to the acid of fruits and veggies. Best luck with a mix of COLD water and vinegar in the sink ASAP. Then you can follow with regular laundering. It does not always work. I have not had much luck with Stain sticks.
I would reccomend you check out the Bumpkins bibs that go all the way over the shoulders. They really help to reduce the stains! They have bibs sized for under 6 months and ones sized for over. All are waterproof. They even have a super long one that is great for covering bottoms!

I have always used the term monkey as a term of endearment for pets, boyfriends( i do not have one currently;), and my boys. It makes me so happy to hear doting moms appreciate fun and messy and age appropriate games and tactics. Monkeys rock. Who does not love a monkey? He is adorable. Even if he didn’t act like one, he would still be a li’ munkeee. i awarded you. enjoy. xox
