Becki – Sophia was 19 months when Miles was born and she moved into a big girl bed with no problem. I built her the PB storage bed. We only ever had one crib and this time I am either going to build one that is small or find an alternative as I do not want to use the crib again. I think you should be fine. Like you said, babies do not need a crib right away. And if London does struggle a little like Miles did you could always let her use the pack n play for a little during the transition. Good Luck!

Love it! I was meaning to ask you how that was going in! L will only be 19 months when Baby X comes, and I was considering transitioning her before that so I wouldn’t have to buy another crib. I still may; Baby X will be in our room for the first 4 months or so anyway, so London will be almost 2. Either way, I’m building one of your beds…or considering flying you out to build it for me!
