I need you to help me raise my bail. Seriously, I’ve got 3 little kids. I just can’t stay in the slammer. What would my husband do? I have not finished my book of all the things I do for the family every day. He would be totally lost. So, yeah, you might want to know why you should help raise my bail. My $3000 bail….

I am being arrested for doing good! I am going to be put in jail here in Charlotte in August 25th to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The money I raise for my bail will help to provide health care, therapy, research and summer camp for children with this terrible disease! There is no better reason to go behind bars. My imprisonment helps provide hope and happiness to families and children struggling with MD. My bail will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Jerry’s Kids.
If you don’t know anything about Muscular Dystrophy, you are not alone and you will be shocked. You probably know someone who is living with Muscular Dystrophy. A quarter of a million children and adults are living with the disease. There are different variations and severities of this disease, but each weakens the muscles that allow our bodies to move and some weaken the heart muscle, which allows us our precious moments on earth. There is no cure for MD, but researchers are making strides towards a cure and are working on ways to slow the muscle deterioration. The most common and most severe form of MD is Duchenne MD. It is the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed during childhood and affects 1 in every 3,500 live male births. That in itself is shocking. We can help.
Kids with MD need our help. Living with the disease requires durable medical equipment such as braces, wheelchairs and respirators. Treating the disease requires money for research. Besides all of this, these kids need to be kids. They need to have fun. The MDA supports 90 summer camps each year for kids with MD to have a week of fun and enjoy the same kinds of activities their healthy friends can. Dancing, Horseback riding, Art, Swimming…the MDA provides an opportunity for kids to experience these things in a safe environment!
I am asking you to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. Whatever you can give is a blessing.
If you choose to give, I will feature your company or blog on my sidebar, will tweet your name from the hilltops and will include you in my post about the amazingness of this whole online community. You, my dear readers, can make a difference!
Please click on the link below and give something to these kids. No matter how small – your gift matters. And it’s 100% tax deductible!

I am the Ringmaster of this circus. I have 3 small children who don't know what that means so I just say "Boss" and they get that. I am a mom who loves to write, build things, make things and love on my kids and my hubs. I am also in the midst of a love affair with social media. Always busy, usually laughing and never without words. Thus, Mommy Words.

Thank you shanfeena! The online form takes credit cards but I am not sure you will get a tax deduction. Thanks for trying!
I will pass this on to Jenna in marketing. Sounds like a very good cause.
