BlogHer is almost here and I am really nervous. I’m incredibly excited but this is my first conference and it’s a biggie so I.Am.Scared! I have jam packed my schedule, will be there as an official Huggies Every Little Bottom Ambassador and I am bringing baby Violet so I will have a lot of balls in the air.
Wednesday
The trip begins! I fly in, lug myself and my baby and all of our stuff to the Harvard Club to stay for one night because the Hilton is full up on Wednesday! I am glad that the club is relaxing and there will not be a lot of noise or confusion related to BlogHer as there will be at the Hilton I am sure.
I am going to see Promises, Promises with some fabulous Blogging Ladies and could not be more excited about Wednesday night! I want to thank Kristen from Rage Against the Minivan for setting this up and Art Meets Commerce for providing us with the tickets. I am totally pumped to see another Broadway show. Man I miss living in New York!!!
Thursday
Martha Stewart Bloggers Night Out – 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Um yes I want to go to the ultimate crafters partay!
People’s Party- I’m going to shoot for 8-ish and hope to meet lots of awesome bloggers!
Friday – The Conference Begins!
8:00 a.m. Drop Violet Off at Childcare
8:00- 9:00 a.m. Newbie Breakfast
After Breakfast Stop in to see Violet and give tons of kisses and a little bewb to keep her happy!
9:30 – 10 a.m. Speed Dating, BlogHer Style
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. As an official ambassador, I will be in the Huggies Every Little Bottom Booth 2713! 1 in 3 moms cannot afford diapers for her children. Come and say hi and help keep babies in clean diapers! You can win diapers too!
I need some lunch at this point and then I will pick up baby Violet and head to the Lasinoh Lactation Loungeon Level 2 to feed le bebe and hook up with some other nursing mommy bloggers!
I wil probably then walk around the exhibition hall and meet some companies and bloggers and maybe even attend an actual session at 2:45. I mean this is a conference right? I should try to learn something!
Sweets in the City at 4:00 p.m. Can I just say yum?
Robeez by Stride Rite Launch Party 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. I am hoping to hit this cool party with Violet before I get all mouthy with my bad self. It’s right around the corner so I think it will work!
Mouthy Housewives Party7:30 – 10 p.m. I am so excited to be off the wait list for this one. I am a Mouthy Housewife and I fully expect to find lots of fellow mouthers off here.
Kirtsy Voices of the Year Gala – 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Post the Gala I will be hanging out hallway style or with my non-bloggy besties that call NYC their home. I seriously cannot wait to get in some seriously comfy clothes and relax!
Saturday
It’s basically the same daytime as Day 1 except…
Holy hell I was picked for an interview with the Project Mom Casting girls and I seriously cannot believe it! 2:30 p.m. I will be interviewed! Wish me oodles and goodles of good luck!
I am totally assuming I will be zonked by the time dinner rolls around but I do have a ticket to Blogaliciousand would love to make an appearance there with baby Violet before I head up for some much anticipated hallway chat and hopefully some singing of show tunes in those aforementioned hallways!
Sunday
I fly home to my hubs and Sophia and Miles and what I am sure will be a hell of a mess! I will pick up and put on my jailbird costume to roam the streets looking to raise my bail and help kids with Muscular Dystrophy. I kid you not. I am being arrested for this cause on August 25th and I need help! Anyone who gives gets free advertising on this site. Serious.
And then…..Sleep….and possibly some gesture of gratitude for mu husband for watching the kids for almost 5 days.
