What's Your Word?

If you haven’t heard, Mommy Words has a weekly series exploring words and what they mean in our lives.  Each week, we present a new word and invite you to link up your posts to share your thoughts.  Posts can be written, a video or a photo that expresses the word for you.  Bring on the funny, the sad, the serious, the sarcastic and the ridiculous.  I can’t wait.

If you would like to write a featured post on a certain word, that would be wonderful!  Check out the words below or choose one of your own!  I know I haven’t even scratched the surface of all the fabulous words out there.  Send me an email with your word choice (mommywords at gmail.com) and we can pick a week.  So easy right?  As we debut new words, the posts will be linked up right here as well as a link to your blog or website, if you have one.

Why not add a Spanish word? Sometimes a word in another language expresses something in a way that is more vivid and relatable, such as déjà vu. I would add “Viven” as it refers to living, not just going through life as a zombie. Why? The ripple effect is one that permeates our lives. Whether it is our taste in cookies, cars, people, or politics. What are the most nutritious or healthy eggs, apples, or meat to eat? That question demonstrates our unique human ability to analyze other parts of our lives. What’s the best decision we can make in other areas of our lives? This is the premise behind why I started Pointe Viven. “Viven” is Spanish for living life. Merely breathing, eating whatever, and doing whatever is not enough. We must experience life with good taste.

Well to be fair I suppose we should just say wine or Vino – just for folks who prefer something else ;) Sleep – definitely.
